The CRC club takes a break in front of the Route 1 sign

Head South….

Sunday started out as a sunny, cold and windy morning, it also had prospects for rain..

Your typical British day, in fact pick any day of the year at random and the forecast could be ‘sunny intervals with a chance of rain’…

We live in the UK, unless you’re prepared to ride through a bit of rain there’s no point in getting your bike out, as it happens 14 of us decided we would brave the weather and meet up at the Humber Bridge carpark for the 10am start.

It would have been 15 but Lee got lost en route, we wait for everyone once on the ride but the ride is never delayed.. it started bang on 10am, sorry Lee!

The ride was meant to be a 40 mile anti-clockwise route through North Lincolnshire, behind Humberside Airport and back home, but in the end it turned into a 30 mile route to try and avoid the worst of the expectant weather and also allow a few of the group to get back within the time they had left (consensus vote).
